Atlas Physio is a specialist physiotherapy centre based in York, resourced with the latest equipment from around the world and offering innovative and up-to-date methods for the treatment of patients with neurological conditions. Atlas Physio’s main focus is to provide high-quality rehabilitation, development and support for patients presenting varying degrees of mobility, function, posture and balance challenges using physical therapy, but with the addition of other key therapies in patients with acquired brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy.

Why do we excel at physiotherapy?

Founder Matt Maniakowski lives by the ethos that barriers are in the mind, and his greatest ability is breaking down those barriers. Helping both adults and children who want to better their lives, whether that is to overcome problems that are chronic, acute, neurological, or to improve long term disabilities, pre and post surgery or pregnancy discomfort. If you need advice or treatment, Atlas Physio is here to help.

Sports injury rehabilitation and prevention is a key focus at Atlas Physio. Matt is an athlete himself, so he understands not only how important getting back to training is, but also how injuries can occur and ways to help you prevent them. He works with a variety of athletes and injuries; helping them to work through existing injuries, prepare for competition and matches, and guiding them to prevent further injuries.
